Bedford Researcher - Chp. 3

The research question is pretty much the single most important part of a paper. Without a strong and understandable research question, a paper lacks any meaning, purpose, or structure. It is therefore extremely important that we spend time developing a strong research question and conduct our research and write our paper accordingly. Chapter three gives us a step by step process in which we can create one and lists things to consider, such as your role as a writer, focusing on a particular aspect, and reflecting on original issues; we can start with a basic and flexible research question and we can focus and refine it as our research continues. The second half of chapter three also gives an example as well as lists the steps we can take in writing a research proposal.
