Collaborative Writing

5 Requirements:
1.       Be your own words
2.       Build your case logically through a systematic order of presentations
3.       Be 3,000+ words in length
4.       Use correct grammar, punctuation, and MLA-style formatting
5.       Refer to 10 or more highly credible sources
5 Criteria for success:
1.       Plan out a timeline
2.       Use different credible sources
3.       Think of writing as a form of conversation
4.       Understand the rhetorical nature of writing situations
       5.       Generate ideas about potential topics

1. Religion and Schools
- What does separation of church and state mean within schools?
- Should teachers be allowed to be open about their beliefs?
- Is there a bias against Christianity within schools?
- Do schools go to far when enforcing nonreligious policies?
- Is there freedom of religion in schools or has it become freedom from religion?

2. Public Attitude Toward Police Officers
- Are the police really taking their power too far?
- Are all officers judged by the bad ones?
- How does prior experience affect the way people see the police?
- Is the public's view of police officers fair?
- Is the public's view of police officers accurate?

3. Feminism
- Is feminism furthering or inhibiting women's equality?
- Is feminism culturally changing the image of women for the better?
- Is feminism improving the public's view of women or not?
- Are women culturally viewed as equal within culture?
- Are women viewed as equal in politics?
